Tuition & Fees
Our fee of $13,800 includes course tuition, shared housing in a historic farmhouse, all food and meals, and outdoor gear rental.
If you choose to enroll in our college credit option, our school of record requires an additional fee of $1,750. This payment goes to the Gap Year Association and Portland State University.
You may need to spend additional funds on basic outdoor gear, such as hiking boots, a backpack, and warm layers. Please read our Packing List to learn what kind of gear Glen Brook can loan, and where you can find affordable options for gear you may need.

How to Apply
STEP ONE: You’ll need to review our Resources and Policies page thoroughly, and make sure you can agree to the Community Agreements, Essential Eligibility Requirements, and Terms and Conditions.
STEP TWO: Fill out the 2024 Application.
STEP THREE: Once we receive your application, a Gap at Glen Brook staff member will contact you within two business days to schedule your interview. Each applicant must participate in an in-person, over-the-phone, or video call interview.
STEP FOUR: We will reach out to your references after the completion of your interview.
STEP FIVE: Offers of admission will be made within two weeks after your interview.
Refund Policy
Once a participant is accepted to Gap at Glen Brook and has paid their acceptance deposit of $1,500, there is no refund of the deposit. If notice of cancellation is received within 45 days of the program start date the participant will forfeit the entire tuition. Any participant who leaves the program early will not receive a refund. If, for whatever reason, the Gap at Glen Brook program is canceled in its entirety, you will receive a full refund.
